Color me intrigued. A left tackle with good Pass Pro grades (87.0 in 2022 per PFF), size (6-6, 305), and experience (1,200+ career snaps) is going to draw a TON of interest in the portal.
Gunner Brittonfrom South Carolina, does have the benefit of playing in an Air Raid offense where the ball comes out fast and the extra pass-block reps help his grade.
Still, outside of a disastrous performance against a stout Troy defense (4 sacks allowed), Britton kept his QB clean all season and only allowed 10 pressures total on 600+ passing snaps.
There are times where his hand usage is clunky and he gets too wide with both his feet and upper-body (length can be a disadvantage if not used properly), as seen below (75, LT):
But the good outweighs the bad from a projection standpoint. Yes, there will be a transition if/when he makes the jump to the P5 level, but his nimble feet in a big frame are really hard to teach. And his athleticism will play at the next level (watch him move in space here, again, 75 LT):
Watch big man (75, LT) move in space here.
Gunner Britton has 1,000+ college snaps and allowed just 10 QB Pressures on 600+ pass pro snaps this year.
Good athleticism in a premium (6-6, 305) frame. https://t.co/KhcTGdtajl pic.twitter.com/JffPGByOU4

FSU might show some initial interest here and see where it goes.
