With nine weeks of the NFL season in the books, it means we’re exactly halfway through the year, and now is a great time to start talking about the playoffs.
The great thing about the NFL playoff race heading into Week 10 is that all 32 teams are still alive. I doubt it will, but it’s still mathematically alive, and everyone in Houston should love math right now.
We publish predictions weekly for the rest of the season to help you figure out who will be in the playoffs this year. These predictions are based on data from Number Cruncher Stephen Oh of SportsLine.com. Each week, Oh enters some numbers into his SportsLine computer to simulate the rest of his NFL season. We’ll use these numbers to predict the 14 teams that are expected to make the playoffs.
With that in mind, let’s get down to forecasting.
